Mobile Numbers!

Since the implementation of our new computer system we are able to send SMS text reminders about routine appointments at the surgery. We would encourage all patients to check that we have the correct mobile number on our records,

Health Checks for those aged 40-74.

The NHS Health Check is a new National program that offers checks to patients between the ages of 40 and 74, once every five years.

For more information, please go to the Clinics and Services tab.

Appointments for those who work:

We offer book-ahead appointments on Saturday mornings at alternate sites, and we have Nurse Practitioner appointments available over lunchtime.

*Please note the Saturday morning clinics ARE NOT walk-in surgeries - appointments are pre-booked only. Also the pharmacy at Alexandra Road is not open on any Saturday.

If you would like a chaperone present during your consultation please let Reception know as you book your appointment or check-in for it. Thank-you

Online Access to Medical Records

The practice offers patients the facility to view online areas of their records, such as a summary of information relating to medications, allergies, adverse reactions and immunisations.  As well as viewing this information, it is possible to download and/or print the information. The online medical record 'extracts' are accessed from the same online Patient Access portal that currently allows patients to order prescriptions for repeat medication and to book GP and nurse practitioner appointments. If you are a patient and would like to use the online facilities please ask a Receptionist for a unique log-in code and password.

From 31st March 2016 the practice allows patients on-line access to all coded information in their medical records. This includes test results, consultations, care history and immunisations. To apply for online access to your medical record we request that you read the attached patient leaflet and then if you chose to proceded, fill in the application form at the end of the leaflet (there is also a version of the leaflet with a proxy application form as relevant).

If you are a patient and require access to other areas of your medical record please contact a practice medical secretary in order to facilitate this.Online access to coded medical records leaflet and application form
